# Companion Key

> Issue the key that signs a device in.

The **Companion Key** tab in the [dashboard](https://yocrow.dev/dashboard) issues keys for `yocrow login`.

1. Select **Issue Companion Key**.
2. Copy the key. It is shown once and cannot be displayed again.
3. Run `yocrow login` on the device and paste the key.

A key signs in one device. The device then holds its own credential, which renews every thirty days. Issue a new key for each device.
